Objective:
To Complete installation of new Black Iron Gas pipe onto walls Unistrut fixings and Gas Meter Box’s.

Starts Monday the 27th of July 2013
Welfare and First Aid:
Client premises, first aid carried in works van.
Reducing Risk:
1. Adherence to company health & safety Policy.
2. Use of PPE at all times.
3. Adherence to good housekeeping practices.
4. Ensure training of all staff is carried out.
5. All gas work to be carried out by qualified and certified staff only.

Supervision:
The works will be supervised by qualified and experienced persons.

Staff include fully qualified CORGI registered Gas fitters (Gas Safe Registered)

Work Method:
Verify with Main Contractors Site Agent to confirm that the latest revision drawings and specifications have been issued.
Safety signs and barriers will be erected where works will be carried out, in particular “Men Working Above” signs where required.
The Rigid 300 Pipe threading machine will be erected in a suitable safe area and will have keep out signs as well as a barrier to warn of machinery in use.
Gas Meter boxes will be installed at low level.
Unistrut support trays will be installed following the designed route.
The Black Iron Pipework will be installed and clipped to the Unistrut supports.
50mm Holes will be drilled from the inside of the structure using a handheld 110v core drilling machine.
Works at higher level will be carried out from scaffolding erected by the Main Contractor, or via MEWPS (Mobile elevating work platforms), these will be supplied by the main contractor and only trained persons will operate any of these devices.
The works will be continually inspected to ensure that they are to the required specification.
